Will it upset my stomach like other iron?

There's no pill to swallow and no ferrous sulfate, the iron that more than doubled the odds of gut side effects across 43 trials (Tolkien et al., 2015). Each strip is 19 mg, well under the 45 mg a day where the NIH says nausea and constipation become common. Customers tell us it has been easier on their stomachs. The reviews below include the ones who disagree.

Can I skip or cancel a subscription?

I have an MTHFR variant. Is the folic acid okay?

Yes. The CDC says people with MTHFR variants can process all types of folate, including folic acid. Melt has 400 mcg DFE folate from 240 mcg folic acid, not methylfolate. See the CDC guidance. If your clinician recommends a specific folate form, check with them first.

Compared with swallowed iron tablets.

True, a drugstore bottle costs less. A half-finished bottle in the drawer isn't much of a saving.

Is 19 mg really enough to move my ferritin?

19 mg every day beats a big pill you skip because it hurts your stomach. Each strip has 19 mg, 106% of the Daily Value. In a two-year study of 555 blood donors (Bialkowski 2017, American Journal of Hematology), 19 mg of iron a day rebuilt iron about as well as 38 mg. That study used tablets of a different iron, not this strip.

6 questions, starting with how long until your ferritin moves.

How long until my ferritin moves?

Iron stores rebuild over months, and everyone's timing is different. If you want a first look, check your ferritin around week six, still inside your 60 days. After that, retest on the schedule your clinician sets.

How does the subscription work?

Your tins ship every 30, 90 or 180 days, depending on your plan. You're charged on each billing date, before the order ships. Skip, pause or cancel from your account or the link in your confirmation email. Do it at least 24 hours before a billing date to avoid that charge. Every renewal gets its own 60-day guarantee.

What does it taste like?

Raspberry, sweetened with monk fruit and stevia. It melts on your tongue, so there is nothing to wash down. If any iron flavor is too much for you, the 60-day guarantee covers it.

Can I take it with coffee, calcium or medication?

Take Melt any time of day. Iron absorbs best away from coffee, tea, calcium and some medications, so leave a gap when you can. Ask your pharmacist about timing with prescriptions.

When will my order arrive?

Allow 1–2 business days for dispatch, then typically 3–5 business days for U.S. delivery. You’ll receive tracking by email.

New U.S. strip orders have a free Priority Shipping option at checkout. See shipping details.

Do I need an account to check out?

No. You can check out without signing in. To see or redeem CAVAÉ Rewards, sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. You can do that later.
