What is Cavae Melt?

Cavae Melt is a sublingual iron supplement strip that dissolves on your tongue. Each strip contains 19mg of iron (as Ferric Saccharate) and 400 mcg DFE of folate from folic acid. The sublingual delivery bypasses the digestive system, reducing common GI side effects like constipation and nausea.

How does sublingual delivery work?

Who should take Cavae Melt?

What are the full ingredients?

Active Ingredients: Iron (as Ferric Saccharate) 19mg, Folate (from Folic Acid) 400 mcg DFE / 240 mcg Folic Acid. Other Ingredients: Pullulan, Cellulose, Lecithin, Raspberry Flavor, Monk Fruit Extract, Citric Acid, Medium-Chain Triglycerides, Xanthan Gum, Steviol Glycosides.

What if I have the MTHFR gene mutation?

Our product contains folic acid (not methylfolate). However, the CDC released guidance (May 2025) showing people with MTHFR variants can process folic acid effectively, with only ~16% lower blood folate levels (https://www.cdc.gov/folic-acid/data-research/mthfr/index.html). We recommend discussing with your healthcare provider, and we're actively working on a methylfolate version based on customer demand.

Is this heme or non-heme iron?

Our product contains non-heme iron (Ferric Saccharate), which is plant-based and synthetic, not derived from animal sources. It's 100% vegetarian.

Does this contain any animal products?

No! Our product is 100% vegetarian and contains no animal-derived ingredients. The iron is synthetic (Ferric Saccharate), not from animal sources like beef liver or organ meats.

Is this gluten-free? Allergen-free?

Yes! Our product is certified gluten-free, lactose-free, allergen-free, vegetarian, 100% natural, antibiotic-free, and hormone-free.

Does this contain aspartame or artificial sweeteners?

No! We use natural sweeteners: Monk Fruit Extract and Steviol Glycosides (derived from stevia). We do not use aspartame or any artificial sweeteners.

What if it stains my tongue or teeth?

We haven’t received any reports of staining from our strips. However, if you do notice any temporary discoloration, it should brush off easily with regular oral hygiene. If you experience any staining that persists throughout the day despite brushing, please contact us at support@shopcavae.com so we can assist.

What if it makes me dizzy, nauseous, or gives me a headache?

These symptoms are not normal and may indicate a reaction to the product or ingredients. Stop taking immediately and consult your healthcare provider. Contact us at support@shopcavae.com for a full refund.

How do I take it? Do I need to take it with food or water?

Place one strip on your tongue and allow it to fully dissolve (usually 1-2 minutes). You don't need food or water. You can take it anytime during the day, though some people prefer taking it at the same time daily to build a routine.

Are you FDA approved?

Dietary supplements do not require FDA approval. However, our products are manufactured following quality and safety standards, and we're certified gluten-free, allergen-free, vegetarian, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free.

Why was I charged but didn't receive my order?

I need to dispute a charge / file a chargeback

My tracking hasn't updated in days / is moving very slowly

Sometimes USPS tracking experiences delays or doesn't update in real-time. If your tracking hasn't moved in over a week, contact us at support@shopcavae.com with your order number and we'll look into it.

Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
