Fair question. It’s less iron per day than a 65 mg pill, and nobody should pretend otherwise.
One study put this question to blood donors. Over two years, the 19 mg group and the 38 mg group ended up with total body iron the researchers couldn’t tell apart.
The limits matter. It used a different iron pill, in donors, and the authors say it can’t be applied straight to anemia. It does show 19 mg a day holding its own against twice the dose, in the people it tested. Whether it works for you is what the 60 days are for.

Is 19 mg really enough?

Can I take it while I wait for an infusion, or after one?

My pills never moved my number. Will this?
Maybe not, and it’s worth knowing why. When iron pills don’t move ferritin, doctors look for ongoing blood loss or trouble absorbing iron. Get that checked. If you still want a daily dose you can keep taking, you have 60 days to decide.
Is the folate folic acid? I have MTHFR.
Yes, it’s folic acid: 240 mcg, which counts as 400 mcg DFE. It isn’t methylfolate. According to the CDC, common MTHFR variants don’t stop the body from using folic acid. If your own clinician prefers a different form, ask before you start.
What does it taste like?
